Scheduling vacation for this, but, not into camping in. 90/100 degree temps. May or may not camp every night. May find A/C in hotel. May do any combination of things.

Health concerns dictate NOT trying to sleep in high heat that is typical of mid August. Health is going to hell....It's starting to dictate much of what I plan and do. (Parkinsons) Already having problems sleeping more than 3 or 4 hours a night under ideal conditions

I don't blame ya for that Bill. There are several hotels within a couple miles of the park. Stop at the rest area in Grayson and pick up one of the hotel coupon books

I'm hoping the weather works with us and isnt stifling hot. But August.....

I still want to do everything we did when I was young....just cant. To put it in perspective, when I was your age.....it was 1987.

For what it's worth, I have all my camping gear ready, including a lot of new stuff, in anticipation of fall camping once it cools down a bit.

I wanted to go later, but it will interfere with other annual meets. And this way, it should be before school starts, too. I remember a lot of folks saying they couldn't make it last year for that reason.

Putting the dates on my calendar but need to verify with my event coordinator (wife) that we don't have anything that weekend. Pending that, I'm in.

    What's up in September BTW?

I'll have Much of August, most of September, October and November free to do ALMOST what ever I so choose this year.

Nice NOT having an asshat in my life!

Don't know. Figured there may end up being another meet. I just didn't do it in Sept to alleviate those with offspring of school going age.

Seems like kids are getting out for summer later and later, then starting school earlier and earlier in the year. The system is fuqt!

Thinking about a small group ride at Interlake in. September. The "B. F. Goodrich trail" there is awsome. We ran it last weekend. There's enough tough obsticals to make it a challenge and it's something different. Not sure just yet but may do it in conjunction with cookout/campout at my place. I have 8 acres for a camping spot.

    This sucks! :frusty:

    upload_2018-6-25_15-53-42.jpg

Raised their prices due to Kentucky Tax Legislature, so they say. With that much of a price change, I'm not too sure if it's worth contacting the owner about a group rate, let alone even have the damn meet now :annoyed: :pout:
