There's some on Amazon too in varying sizes that are reasonably priced where it's not too much of a risk.

I would never again do a shower pan that wasn't either Schluter over a drypack , Schluter pan or a Wedi equivalent

I'm only tiling the walls surrounding an existing tub that's gonna stay put - no shower pan work. Would that be the main advantage? I could see where a flexible membrane would be a huge bonus in that scenario.

We put up a sail shade a few years ago and love it, been throu 80+ mph windstorms, hail nickel size and plenty of rain. No issues. Ours is a San Diego sail shade from Amazon.

IDK about a base plate but 4 of the Toughsystem boxes fit perfectly between the wheel wells in a Tacoma

I think my supplier had a handled open tote at one point , kinda remember seeing it , but he's not stocking the ToughSystem boxes anymore , thats actually how I ended up with the 6 ones I have , he gave me all his remaining stock for a killer deal if I took them all

I love my toughsystem tote, it's a nice catchall for misc tools I need to take with me. I install TV's for people on the side, and it's nice to have to quickly clean up and get out of their space, allows me to organize my tools once I'm home.

Thats basically how I use mine , I load loose tools and fasteners etc into however many boxes that takes for the specific job I'm going to be working on and unload them back at home when I'm done , basically job specific transport boxes

Be mindful of possible asbestos in popcorn ceiling. If that is what you are scraping off. There was a cutoff for when they stopped adding that shit. It was either '81 or '71 - but don't quote me on that.

I’ve never heard of wedi, after a real quick search it looks like it’s similar to Kerdi board?

Yup, I used it to tile my fireplace hearth and my new bathroom. Cut through standard 12x12 porcelain tile like butter. I was also able to cut through 24x24 3/4" outdoor patio porcelain tile with no issue. I will say that if you are planning on cutting tiles, that you will not be able to cut tiles more than probably 24x24. That is the maximum I would have been able to cut if I were cutting tiles in half.

Overall I'm happy with the saw, especially for the price haha. I will say that the miter gauge on it is an absolute joke. I wouldn't trust it at all, other than that, it's worth every penny. I was able to do plunge cuts and rip cuts with no issues.

Well for the past 4 years I've been cutting everything (up to 12 x 24) with this: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Skil-7-in-...CyMyPIUYM5SeZ5-voeJBlCUlAjEisA_gaAiy_EALw_wcB

Before I do the next two bathrooms I decided it's time to upgrade before I lose a finger. The Kobalt has to be a major improvement.

I had the Skil saw before, it is absolutely better, no question. You could probably get up to 24x30 tiles on the Kobalt saw. The issue is the table, if it falls of the support rack it slides on, that wouldnt be good for anyone haha. There is a locks top for the sliding table, but you can get a few more inches if you unlock it. (I did not do this, but could)

Just want to clarify - you're saying the Kobalt is better, right?
