Cool! I look forward to the reveal. I'm thinking of ordering them both at the same time so I can get them powder coated and installed all at once.

    Take your time, Joes.

I still have 3/4 of a bumper to keep me legal while I'm waiting for your goods.

Exactly. There's no way you could trailer from it if it had an internal hitch like our current steel one.

Great design, easy to install and adjust. Palette weight was 175lbs. Bumper is about 115lbs, so it's a 2 or 3 person job to install.

When installing, fine-tune the bumper's alignment using the Mobtown-supplied grade 8 bolts and the angled brackets (gold bolts you can see in the 4th pic). There's a sequence for getting this correct and locked down:
    • mount the front bolts to the frame with about 3/8" thread exposed, and slide the bumper slots onto the bolts
    • mount the existing OEM galvanized bolts nearest to the front bolt, hand tight; bumper is now secure, so your bumper-lifting buddies can relax
    • mount the OEM bolts to the top of the angle bracket (bolt heads are barely visible in 4th pic), loose with threads engaged a few turns
    • loosen the grade 8 gold bolts and let the bracket hang down slack
    • tighten the grade 8 bolts
    • begin tightening the OEM bolts on the top of the angle bracket to raise and level the bumper; check clearance between tailgate and bumper (1st pic); 3/8" to 1/2" gap is good
    • tighten the front OEM bolts and the other bolts to fix the angle
    • loosen grade 8 bolts
    • tighten the OEM bolts on the angle bracket, bracket snug to frame
    • tighten the grade 8 bolts
NOTE: Clearance between the gate and the bumper is pretty tight when gate is down... so you need to sweep the bumper clean of debris before dropping the gate... gravel or wood chips on top of bumper could dent the gate or chip paint... I had my bumper a bit too high at first and a pile of sawdust on the bumper contacted the paint on the gate... luckily it was soft so didn't do any damage.

The shackles are super beefy. I'll be using them to drag logs. The whole interior structure of the bumper is essentially an ultra-strong trailer hitch bracket. I know it's not tow-rated, but I don't see how it would not be more secure and stronger than stock. I haven't trailered with it yet, but I'm thinking a 6" or 8" drop mount will work fine. Edit: brother-in-law gave me a 6" drop ball mount, and it works well.

hope these help. They did a great job with them, and for my money I'd go back 10 out of 10 times. I have both the front and rear from Mobtown, and the thought, engineering, and workmanship that has gone into these is humbling.

I'm sold, I was actually debating between C4 and CBI but I like the Mobtown Joe's.

Your post answered some of my questions with the latch and stuff.

I'm curious to how the hi-lift sits, in the pictures its vertical but I saw a youtube of Joe saying it now sits horizontal. I want to make sure that I can both lock it up and have room for the GFC

Where have I missed the dual swing out? The best I can make of what I can find is, purchase a rear bumper, doesn’t matter which one, and also purchase dual swing too, correct? Only purchased together for it to work? I’m not finding solid info on this past question, parking sensors ( I gave up on BSM), rear camera relocate, OEM license plate light relocate, OEM trailer connection relocate, OEM trailer hitch delete and relocate or keep OEM. DAMN, I feel nagging but I’m finally serious.
