Carolina's Beach Camping/Meat Meet

Ok guys creating this thread to get the ball rolling so far the best 2 options in NC are Freeman Park and Cape Lookout. The latter being closer for you SC guys. Thanks to @Sandman614 for the suggestions any other suggestions that can accommodate a decent sized group of trucks and people please post. I can make a poll later to choose the place.

The plan is to have a fish fry, catch and cook maybe, low country boil, crab boil, etc. Bring NC and SC coastal cuisine together once again.

I know there are others I am missing.

Right now this is just in the beginning stages no date set nor place figured having a central place to post ideas and interest to make it happen would be better than the BS threads.

I was also a chef in my civillian life so I’d be up for cooking a nice size meal. Just need a head count and a decision on what wants to be eaten.

 

It'd be a 5 and a half hour trip for me, but i might could swing it, depending on dates, etc.

I'm also willing to bring a propane burner and other essentials for a low country boil if others are willing to pitch in for it too.

Remember though, cape lookout is accessible by ferry only and the ferry only fits 5 vehicles or so. They book out way in advance as well so access for a large group is limited.
