It's the non-handle version. I want one with the handle, but from all my research it looks like it was only ever sold in the EU.

Sold my DeWalt drill/impact and went with 18V Milwaukee Fuel hammer drill/impact kit with Hackzall. Not sure if it was a Father’s Day deal but was something like 35% off last night.

Everything is going system based, and DW seems more inclined to pump those units out to FlexVolt, and they’re (at least now) really geared to contractor use.

I'm happy with my 18v Makita tools after I moved on from the Panasonic set up I used to use

FYI , for what it's worth , the new Makita stackable boxes are Classic Systainers made by Tanos , same company that makes the Festool and Tanos brand Systainers so they are stackable to each other , just confirmed that today

Also , you know you have a good relationship with your tool guy when he just lets you take a Makita track saw home to see if the boxes stack as its the only tool he has in stock that is in that style of case lol

No just was curious on the boxes . May get a couple Makita boxes for some Makita tools I have and would be nice if they stacked with the Tanos / Festool boxes / CT I already have

I meant more like the concept. :D

I don’t have a circular, table, or track saw. I do want to cut down sheet goods.

    Which way to go?

Before was looking at DeWalt, but if I went that route now it’s probably Makita.

Festool is pretty pricey for home gamer, and DeWalt seems like they ditched the corded track saw and went with FlexVolt version.

I think I asked this before when I was considering a large Ridgid table saw, now it’s more of jobsite saw vs track saw vs circular/worm drive with a guide.

If you mainly want to break down sheet goods and you have limited space , track saw

Table saws kind of suck for larger sheets. Least the typical small home ones. Unless you have other stuff to support the sheet.

You could also consider a circular saw and either make a nice guide for it or buy something like the Kreg ripcut and Saw Track.

Not as nice as the real track saws but for a DIYer at home itll probably work just fine

I use the factory edges of MDF/Plywood scraps for a guide; works fine for most projects.

I have a few spare pieces of 2" thick 2ft x 8ft XPS foam I took out of the trash that I use when cutting sheet goods. Lay them on the ground, sheet goods on top, don't have to worry about any support... You do have to crawl around on the ground like an animal though.
