Hey people. I’ve searched around but was unable to find anyone else asking this question. For context, I have a 2018 Sport DCSB 4x4 that currently has about 1800 miles on it. Up until this weekend, I’ve had absolutely no issues on a few short road trips.

Last week I installed some 265/70r17 Falkens, Billy 5100s, OME 887 coils, and medium duty Dakar leaf springs. All in all, I wound up with just a shade over 2 inches of lift, and the handling/ride seems fantastic so far. But I had a 600ish mile trip last weekend and I noticed a bit of an issue. When I’m cruising at interstate speeds (say 75ish), the truck seems to get stuck between 3000 and 3500 rpms when I go to pass someone. It would also happen if going up a hill when the cruise kicked up to maintain speed. If I floored it, the truck would eventually upshift and all would be fine, but then the problem would repeat itself. Any ideas?

Side note: I’m admittedly new to all of this, so I may have left out some pertinent info. And yes, I’m sure I wouldn’t have had the issue if I had gotten a MT but I’m not that cool...

I’m aware of that product and it seems promising. But are you saying that it’s a problem with the truck and not with the mods? I ask because shifting seemed fine before I added them and I’m trying to make sure I didn’t screw something up

You changed your tire size. Your truck was in learning mode (your diving style) with factory size tires, now with large tire things are different. May need to reset ECU. So it can restart learning process.

Do I just need to disconnect the negative terminal to accomplish this?

Some say yes, some say no. Disconnecting battery only clears short term memory. Your truck will keep learning as it is, from what I have read. Techstream clears long term memory, but I don't know if that may do to warranty.

Ha lovely. I disconnected it for about 15 minutes, so I’ll report back after another run on the interstate this weekend
