A reminder about the meet is that several cities are having their 4th of July festivities on the 30th.

Ok so im not sure why people think that upgrading the speakers makes them louder....

The speakers used in that right up want 150w RMS, there is NO WAY your stock headunit will push that! You are getting 20w RMS MAX from the stock HU and that is being very generous! Plus all the settings in the stock HU plays a huge part in the sound of your truck!

If you dont want to buy and install an amp in your truck then find speakers with around 35w RMS, you will get the best sound from them.

Now tweeters only draw about 10 -15 w RMS individually, and that is even for the "nice" ones, like my hybrid audios. When they are tuned correctly they will never draw more than that.

Those kicker tweeters are expensive! and i think its because it comes with that adapter, which can easily be made from a thin cutting board from ikea...

In my personal opinion... if you are upgrading the sound in your vehicle then you should probably add an amp. You can even get better sound from your stock speakers by upgrading your Headunit as it will probably push more watts to each speaker than your stock. Some even have built in EQs that will help out a lot.

Buy some of these..... i had installed these tweeters before i got my hybrid audio speakers and they were LOUD AF!! Ended up selling them and i wish i would have kept them so i could install them in the trailer... i maybe buying another set...

I did save my passive crossovers from my hybrids that i plan to install in the trailer...

Nice! What part of the DFW metroplex are you moving too?

Funny story about new locals... i meet a girl at the dog park that said she tried to get an uber to the "fort worth airport". uber driver was foreign also so they had no idea what she was talking about so they drove around for about an hour before she told him to stop and she got out.

I explained to her that its the "dallas / Ft worth" airport and its called the "DFW airport". I think it clicked after that.

    :humble:

Do you think that serial killers and child rapists watch videos like this before they leave the house?? Maybe she should direct her video towards a particular audience.

To the bumper or the bar? Pretty hush hush on both until I get it done. Shock and awe factor for the bumper and possible product using the bed bar.

I’m not wanting a lot louder system, but my speakers are starting to go out, and need be replaced with something, so if I can get a (mostly) plug and play upgrade for less than $200, I’m in.

Adding an amp sounds like a wiring pain in the ass and isn’t something I’ve done before.
