Does anyone have any experience replacing the bushing for the shift lever in our trucks?

I need to replace mine from what I read online but I can not find any info on 2nd gens, all i see are videos and part numbers for 1st gens.

Hit up @Coupe he did my shifter, TRD short throw. Was super sloppy, and now nice and firm. He replaces the bushing mid shifter with an poly resin, super good work, and reasonable price!!! Maybe the slightest more noise, but well worth it imo. He also has other options available!!

Edit: Are you referring to the bushing inside the stick? Or the bushing that the shifter rides in the top of the trans??

Yeah those will do for the bottom, super easy to replace those. Suposidly marlin crawler makes the best ones. If the bushing inside your stick is toast, hit up the guy I mentioned before!!!

How to replace those is very similar to all gens, once you get to it, it'll make sense

True, either way, easy to get to if you do have to do it again!

When you have your shifter out, check the play in the midshifter bushing as well, mine was slippy, and that's why I sent it out to @Coupe you be able to tell if it's bad.
