There isn't really play in the joints but I've had some on my 4runner rust out before and make noises.

I just took a video of me wiggling mine, and it doesn’t seem to have as much play as yours. I had to use a lot of strength to move it a bunch

I'm gonna wait on my grease gun to get here Saturday and saturate my u-joints before I buy a new carrier. But considering that was one handed shaking, I think it's safe to assume the cb is bad.

Got my solar panel installed and the wiring ran to the interior. Still need to wire up the charge controller, but that's a project for another day.

I have a grommet towards the top of the hatch that runs all of the lights on the hatch to the interior. Put a tiny hole through it and ran both wires into it.
    20180621_172503.jpg

I need to clean it up, but it's about to rain it looks liks.

Got off my ass and did some things today. I had a new noise coming from up front, so I took both wheels off and retorqued everything, including spacers.

Everything seemed fine so if the noise continues, my next step is to replace the bushings on my coilovers. They desperately need it but I’m hesitant to use coil compressors to swap them out.

I also installed these braces that come with my mobtown bumper. They use the sway bar holes and a bolt that passes through the bumper to firm it all up.

And finally I made my swingout lockable. I got the idea from @inesshell

Take your coilovers to the hobby shop on base and use a wall mounted compressor.

Edit: It is worlds more comfortable and a lot less scary.

I’ll have to see if we have one there. Usually I do the compressor-less method using a jack under the LCA (I love that method) but then you need an alignment afterwards.
