    @23Skidoo - building question for ya if you don't mind.

    I don't have a pic - sorry. I can get one to you. So my front entry/porch extends a few feet out from the main part of the house. Where the main roofline meets that wall/extension, I'm wanting to replace a few courses of those grooved cedar shakes. The roof has the proper step flashing. My question is this. Where the fascia board, edge of the roof/drip edge meet the wall.....do i just scribe a piece of the shake to that profile? I'm confused on that small section where the roof ends where it meets the cedar shakes. Does that make sense? There's some silicone sealant up there now. The shake adjacent to the fascia board felt a little punky. I have that small diverter up there that has helped a ton, but want to clean it all up.

    I want to replace those top 3 courses.

    I do plan on putting up a small diverter as well, to push the rain into the gutter to stay away from that junction.

    Ignore the dirty paint....that's the north side and the house needs to be painted.
