I am partial to running hot laps in prerunners, but Silver lake is always a good time. There is so many cool rides to see from hombuilt contraptions to high dollar builds.

Anyone going to be up this weekend for Long Travel Roundup?

I used to bring my truck out there. But to be honest, its kind of boring, unless you don't plan on driving it out. When I go out there now, we just do a lap and then park at the drag strip or the beach and just watch people break stuff. My fiance and I ride our quads out there. They go faster, they soak up bumps and are just more fun.

I have fun in both my jeep and taco. Both different animals and I tend to do different things with both. At the end of the day they are just toys and don't need to be driven home. They have always driven out on there own.

I spent a lot of years on quads and really enjoyed it. The only downfall was that coming from MX to the dunes meant I pushed really hard to have fun up there. I just found myself in to many situations where things could have gone very wrong. Plus there really wasn't as much cost difference as you would think from my built quads to my trucks. On a down side I do miss riding and now I'm fat.

I don't want it to sound like I'm bashing anyone or anything. Just my opinion and you know what opinions are.

I’m still in; but wont be able to hang the full day as I have to work super early on Sunday morning now.

As long as it’s nothing severe, storms wouldn’t necessarily be bad thing... it can get crazy dusty up there, the rain would be welcomed.

I'm still in. Down to 40% rain in the AM.

As long as work doesn't do anything stupid to me at the last minute I'm still in.

If people decide to go on the 1st I can go, but the next weekend I'm busy. I have never been yet but have been wanting to for the last 2 years. My work schedule has become much easier to deal with in the last few months so maybe I can get to go soon!

Leaving in a few minutes for Marathon. Looks like we’re playing in the mud today. :)
