When are these being released?

 

I beat @VangaSTL to the carwash! So far so good!

 

^ I like the layout of those. Concentrated brake in the middle, and a wide disbursement for the cargo lights.

 

Will get some night pics tonight to see if there are any gaps in the bed. I would be surprised.

 

Looks great! Wish I was still in STL so I could see them in person.

 

When oh when? God I need this already.

 

Dang crack of the factory light is getting bigger. It has less patience than me waiting for this mod. And the teaser pictures are killing me. Lol Looks good guys

 

I literally just got home. Going to setup the tripod and DSLR to get some dusk and night shots. Tomorrow I'll run the truck through a wash. You put on the 1/4" gasket and I'm using the 3/16" gasket so we will see what happens.

So far the only issues @jptheriot and I had with the install were;

1. The bracket did not conform perfect to the cab, it teeter tottered a little bit until the screws forced it to bend slightly to conform. Shouldn't be a problem. Just an observation.

2. The holes used to mount the bracket to the cab weren't exactly spaced right. I had to drill out the holes in the cab slightly bigger to accommodate the bracket. If you made the 2 mounting holes 2mm further apart from each other I think it would match up perfectly

So I was sent a bracket as a tester and provide some hi-def images to show you all. I don't want to make this post too long so I'm just going to highlight what I did differently from the OP install.


I have a friend who works for a company that makes industrial gaskets, so I had him cut me some custom ones. The one that I received with the bracket was not the best fitment. The only downside is because it is much thicker, there is a small gap between the bezel and the cab. See below. (@mesojdm expect a few samples soon)

I thought it was a bit cleaner install and would make it easier to service if I ever need to take it off the truck.




I added a Universal Flasher Module to increase visibility.




Some of you read my earlier comments but don't let that discourage you from this product, It was an easy install and it looks great. Below are some Hi-Def Dusk/Night pictures to give you something to look forward to.

Umm, not being picky, but it shouldn't it be .07874" and I will admit metric has a cleaner look to it. Nice pictures & video, like the flasher module addition, always put them on my motorcycles. Lights seem plenty bright enough.
