Everybody's going to have their own opinion. Yes, the header is the best add-on for gains. By all means, buy that expensive thing. But, the spacer further improves on the same performance. Lowers torque and fattens it up in a few places. Yes, the gains look minimal, but you're talking about a truck with minimal hp and torque. So those "little" gains are pretty noticeable imo. You're not going to win this argument with V6 guys. Do what you want to do and don't worry if somebody else doesn't agree with it, it's your truck.

LCE header is less than double the cost of this plenum spacer but about 10x more bang for the buck and makes truck sound better whereas this spacer really does nothing. If you installed it secretly on someone's truck they would never notice

I've had both and disagree. Like I said, we all have our own opinions. Is it a S/C, no. Does it improve the trucks driveability, for me it did.

Peak torque is a whopping 1 more ft/pounds at 600 rpm lower than the 3.5.

Engine / tranny combo is much better matched in my opinion

It's the 600 rpm lower that's the important part when it comes to towing

Towing sure, but I just chuckle when people say how much more torque the 1GR has over the 2GR.

Ya know I don’t think anyone here said it has more torque. Powerband is just completely different. And that’s what some people like.

I didn't say it has more torque, just that it's lower in the rev range.

Oh I didn't say you guys, I mean people in general, like in the 3rd gen forum or what not that make the 4.0 seem like it's a torque monster or something. I try to avoid that section when I can. It's full of people new to cars and the internet in general ugh.

And as for me, I came from a 5.4 v8 german car that loved to do this

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1uxDOef3vY

so everything that's like less than 400hp feels slow.

I come from riding 180hp-90ft/lb motorcycles, everything feels slow in comparison

I can imagine. That's why I don't complain about the "lack of torque" when everything under 500hp is slow anyways.

Howdy all! I'm in Lynnwood. After driving my torque monster I'll never have a v8 again:burnrubber:

Meridian. Probably see you around sometime. I’m hoping to find some sort of organized Taco meet up around here. There’s nothing wrong with a couple folks meeting up for a wheeling trip in a parking lot but I wanna see something big come together. I went to e30 Picnic today and really wished there was something for Tacos. They are everywhere.
