    My friend with his 2010 toyota tacoma, 2wd, 4cyl, standard bout his truck recently at the dealership and a few days later belt started squeaking so he took it back. Poor guy got this quote from them and not being a car guy, thankfully declined the service.

    Something funky's going on, ALLDATA only shows that job as 1.1 total hours, which would be in the neighborhood of ~$160, depending on shop's labor rate, plus the $170 in parts.

    Rear shocks is 0.9 total, plus $80 in parts.

    Sorry, I should add that I looked up the middle of the line parts for him on rockauto.com so he knows the average prices of aftermarket. That's my hand writing of individual prices.

    Shit my Toyota dealer is a bargain. I had the a/c compressor, drier, hoses and system evacuated and recharged for $480. Granted I supplied the new Denso parts which they were cool with.
