I made the mistake of buying some items from harborfreight when it was new and I was younger... right now, there's only one item I'd buy from there:
so I can throw away all the junk that I got from there in the beginning.
Honestly though, if you need a throwaway tool (1 use and trash), its fine. Otherwise don't waste your money.

I have the Ridgid 1/2" impact (just because I have all rigid electric tools, and I love it.

FWIW, quality does matter. I bought a campbell hausfeld and could barely take off any lugnuts. Found an IR off CL and made a world of difference for any automotive tasks that require more torque than my Schwarzenegger guns could provide. Make sure to use the air hose as short as possible(25ft) with a 1/2" diameter for a 3/4" impact gun.

I bought this one about 4 years ago at HF beat the snot out of it. Best 35$ I’ve ever spent on a cheap tool it makes quick work of my lug nuts an various other hardware. Of course I use a torque wrench at the end but removal is a breeze I’ve had to buy one battery is all. It does drain quick in use.

I am not sure how Harbor Freight and Tools can be used in the same sentence. "Only a wealthy person can afford cheap tools"

I go a different route for lug nuts. I break them loose with a breaker bar, then chuck a 1/2" socket bit in the drill and run them off with that. Before you say how cheap can this bastard get, there is a method to my madness. Every time you use a impact wrench on a lugnut, you damage the outside of the nut. Sometimes just a little , sometimes much more. It all adds up to replacing them sooner. The drill doesn't hammer them at all, and they'll last forever.
