I would plate the top and bottom of the frame rail because they will be in tension(top) and compression(bottom) with the weight of the rear end. And then plate the inside of the frame because it’s easy and will help.

Not too sure about these little cars but coming from the heavy duty diesel world welding on the flanges of the frame rail is a big no no. Just my .02

Recommendations on things to do in Southern California anyone? I flew out here earlier this week for a work trip and I'll be here for 2 more weeks.

Unfortunately they probably don't want me wheeling the rental car. She gave me the option of a sentra, or mustang when I got to the counter. I took the mustang...

A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
Yesterday I received the factory backup camera with factory rear bezel to install in my wife's 13' T4R. Thinking that it should be pre wired like my 10' Tacoma was, it should be plug n play, no. So, not to waste the money I paid for it, I went in search of wiring diagrams to figure out the color code to make my own harness, dead end. Do any of you know the color code? I have red, white, black, and green off the camera. I have to assume that two of those are hot and ground, one is signal, and one is video. Another question, does anyone know where I could find factory pig tail to plug in to the camera, and then to its destination under the dash? Any help would be appreciated so that my frustration level is at a minimum. Plan is to hook in to an Alpine ILX107 HU.

Definitely true haha. I'm staying in Huntington Beach, but unlimited miles on the rental and it's fun to drive something that actually moves when you put the gas pedal down haha

I was thinking about going up along the coast and see what this Ecoboost will do. So far I've been impressed with it.

I plan on going to San Diego at least once since I've never been and everyone says it's great. @4Running Daily are you still in hawaii?

I hadn't thought about going into Mexico, but I've got my passport card with me so I think that's all I need to get across the border. Is there much to do within walking distance over there?

Main street is pretty cool. I've been walking down there at night for dinner from my hotel. I'm sure it'll be packed this weekend, maybe all of next week too with the holiday.

Yeah that wouldve been cool if Id been here earlier and ridden with you. Looked like you had a good time. I was thinking about checking out Joshua tree NP too. I know it's super hot during the day, but I've been getting up really early out here with the time difference so I might be able to get out there and beat the heat.

If they move the date I might be able to make it, but right now I fly out on the 13th.

Sweet, I'll look into what there is to do on the other side of the border. Joshua tree is gonna depend on when I wake up haha. 117 is a little warm... I'd probably just drive through the park and avoid the hiking since it's so hot. I'm loving the weather here along the coast though, so much nicer than what it is back in alabama right now.

Yeah I'm not into big crowds either so we'll see how I like it. Was the fireworks show pretty good?

That slip n fly thing is pretty wild. I bet that's packed on the weekends too.

Sounds like I have to check out big bear while I'm out here. I might take you up on the camping stuff if I decide to stay a night up there. Since I flew I didn't get to bring much of anything other than clothes.

    Well, it's not my mustang...:bikewhoops:

Awesome, thanks for the info! I'll let you know about the gear and camping once I figure out what I'm gonna do haha. Too much to do out here.

    Well that escalated quickly...
