The grille is a tss capable prototype from https://empyreoffroad.com/. The end result will be a powder coat black grille with a black acrylic tss plate...or so I’m told. The grille worked perfectly with tss...even engaged the precollision which is always sketchy!

@Mobile_Bluesman have you tried this 8E3C1651-613A-4732-B6FA-660E89A8AC3B.jpg Obviously this wouldn’t work for items like bumpers.

The Unidens are pretty popular..505, 510, & 520. Walkies have always failed me.

Some of the guys here that wheel use Baofeng. I think they are dual band and apparently very popular. I do believe they use them on the non Ham band though. I've just always liked CBs and Walkie Talkies. Just thought a handheld set would be nice to have on beach vacations too or around the house when I am out cutting the grass on the back 40.

I use to just take my phone with me to work in the yard and the reception is excellent but one day crawling around under the tractor I somehow managed to butt text a bunch of people, call some people, and I managed to order a bunch of crap off Amazon I didn't need or want. So now the phone stays in the house.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
That's not a bad idea. Another option is to get a "personal mail box" at one of those private pack-and-ship places. That's where all my packages go, including my aluminum tail gate liner, swing cases, and set of wheels. The big stuff I try to pick up promptly so it's not taking up space. Cost me around $15/mo. and well worth it (damn Porch Pirates).

Hmmm, more details, maybe a link please. We shop 99% online and while we are in the country and our packages are safe, it would be nice be able to install a fence and a gate some day.

Place I use is called PostalAnnex+ and they don't seem to have a central website. Edit: Scratch that, here it is: https://www.postalannex.com The woman who owns the one I frequent has been super. Again, around $15/mo. I've started sending my packages through them, also. They can shop various carriers for the best price and they'll email when the package leaves their place and again when it's delivered (that part depends on the carrier, I think).

Very interesting. Thanks for all the information. I would get a PO box too but our rinky dink PO is not equipped. Not sure if I can get one in another zip. I might check into that too. It's convenient getting the mail sent right to the house but the junk mail doesn't come through PO boxes I think. We get more junk than good. Plus we know when we are supposed to receive bills so it's not like we need to go to the PO every night.

Just tryin' to make life easier as I get older.
    Thanks again.

UPS, FedEx and the like won't deliver to a PO box. The nice part about the private mail box places is it's a business like any other and all carriers will deliver there. There's a real live human there during business hours to accept deliveries and can say "Yes, I received I that package." or "No, haven't seen it yet." (and they notify you by email when something has been received). There is no "We left it on your porch." and it's no where to be found. Did you really leave it on MY porch? (I often get other people's packages)

I should mention that I only have my packages delivered to PostalAnnex+. Mail still gets delivered to the door by USPS
