i just sold my 08 and I assumed the bed bars would fit on a new truck as everyone list them for sale as 05+ but the tie down rail definitely is an inch lower and these old bed bars won’t fit my 2018. I would really like to get my tent mounted ASAP. Figured someone around here is making them. Lead time from most vendors is nutz for these things.

    Cheers.

Oh I’m just looking for two cross bars to mount the tent over the bed in the summer months.

Curious how they disperse the load across the bed? Looks like all the weight is on the rail. Tent is 100 lbs, dog is 70, myself and wife would be 350 plus gear we are pushing 550lbs. Is that rail really rated for a shear load of 500+ pounds? My 08 was kinda weak feeling but I had the relentless bars that spread it out across the top of the bed.

No load is on the rail. All the weight is on the bed sides. Tons and tons of people are using these with tents....no issues.

Sorry mate just trying to understand. This looks like all the weight is on the bed rail with a foam pad under it. What am I seeing wrong?
