Just bought a new tacoma, first thing I was looking for is a nice set of weld on rock sliders. Haven't seen a recent thread on it, just looking for some recommendations.

I have @Mobtown Offroad on my truck. They're stupid beefy. They also offer 10% off to military. Welcome to TW!

Closest options I can think of would be SOS concepts or Mobtown since they're both east coast.

Where abouts, we have good people all over the state that like to get out and wheel.

SOS Concepts is a short drive. Why Welded on sliders? Bolt-on can take a damn fine beating too.

I'm in Greensboro right now, but I am transferring to go to school in Clemson in the fall. I was looking more for weld on because I saw some posts about the gap left with bolt ons that started to rust the frame after some abuse. Figured weld on would eliminate the possibility of that....and if they are purely weld on I figured they would be a bit cheaper.

That’s why I went weld on. Even after paying for install it was still about $200 less than their bolt on counterpart.

My frame isn't rusty, plenty of abuse and water crossings. I think it's people speculating without real evidence.

I figured it would take quite a bit of abuse, he uploaded a video showing what he did to fix the issue. Didn't look real bad, but I also didn't ever plan on taking them off so weld on isn't a huge turn off.
