It's amazing the things I find around my house that was bought at HF and forgotten, then I end up buying the same item I already have and I won't mention the hidden freebies.

I used one of these for years on my Nissan 300zx twin turbo. Definitely recommend if you park for weeks at a time without starting vehicle.

How are the HF torque wrenches? I need a 1/4 inch torque wrench for an upcoming project.

Cheap but they work. I have the 3 different sizes.

Are they somewhat accurate? I have an expensive digital 1/2 inch and an cheap duralast 3/8 inch one. I love the digital readout on my 1/2 inch one, but it’s something that I use all the time. I will probably rarely use the 1/4 inch after this project is done... so I don’t wanna spend a bunch on something I’m not gonna use much.

People have tested them and found them to be well within acceptable range. (like +/- 5%). They are well worth it for the home user

If you like your battery get a real maintenance charger--like this by Schumacher:

    I've used one for 5 years on my '98 SL500 which doesn't get driven a whole lot--< 5k miles in 5 years..

I have all 3 sizes, and they are just as accurate as any other clicker torque wrench when calibrated, and they come uncalibrated just as easily as your most expensive clicker torque wrench (temperatures play big roles here)

They are real easy to calibrate when you have one of these You can get all 3 wrench sizes, and the digitial torque adapter to calibrate against for way cheaper than a single snapon.

I might have to look for a different one, that one doesn’t go as low as I need for this project.

While it claims it doesnt go down past 29 ftlbs, I have measured it accurate down all the way to like 40in lbs (less than 4ftlbs)

Mine, a Powerbuild brand, that I got before HF offered theirs is a 1/2in drive that reads down to about 5N-m even though the written specs say otherwise. Just freaking great for motorcycle bolts.

What filter are you using on your air compressor?

Trade tariffs obviously went into effect; some of HFs stuff jumped up a good bit in price. Mostly the metal working stuff.

Which always amazes me. The stuff they have in stock probably was purchased at pre-tariff prices. Sort of like when gas prices go up. They seem to go up immediately, then take forever to come back down.
