    I worked at Home Depot and put them together daily and there is nothing special about a Weber over any of the cheaper brands. All parts are the exact same with the exception of you paying 3x as much for replacement parts for Weber

    hm. what would you recommend? looking for something with those extra features, work surface, charcoal cleanout, tool hanger, etc etc that my basic little guy doesn't have.

    Get a barrel smoker with a side fire box.

    Grilling open flame in the side fire box is perfect for 2 people. You have a large grill area for more people. And you can indirect smoke when the time comes.

    I'm definitely a charcoal guy. Heck, I like even just lighting the charcoal and smelling it without any food on it haha!

    Trust me I was as hard dick as you 2 are about charcoal too but there is something to be said about quick and convenient when you are really hungry and/or pinched for time

    I understand that and can appreciate the use of the gas grill in those situations. I would just assume use the stove in a pinched for time situation. 100 year old seasoned cast iron comes in clutch there.
