    They sure were. The factory race development was foot to the floor back then. You said it right, they were works of art. I remember once seeing Roger Decosters bike up close. Nothing like what you could buy.

    There was a bunch of French Canadian guys outta Bassano Alberta that were sled racers sponsored by Bombardier. Never understood a word they said but they sure had some wicked sleds.

    Our entire goal for the year back then was to make the US International Six Days Enduro team. They had several obscure classes that had fewer riders. Better chance of making the team.....A buddy rode a Can Am 80 for a few years....That thing made its power at a million rpm it seemed.

    It was great that we had Moto Cross at least once a Month. Hill climb in between, & a pretty decent trials course out in the Park. Attracted a lot of talent that's for sure.

    Cub Cadet on it's way back to MTD. Dealer took care of paperwork. Credited for full purchase price. New Deere delivered. Let's hope this one works out. Helps that we buy hundreds of thousands worth of equipment from them for the golf course. All it cost was $52 price difference. Worth that just to get it off my mind.
