Are there any issues with just running 2 bed bars rather than 3?

Anyone have issues with your tent coming apart at night? Like when I flip it over, the tent doesn’t sit evenly and lock in the tongue and groove that well. One side works fine but the other barely fits in there. A few times in the middle of the night it felt like my tent was going to fall apart. You can see the difference in the pics below. The only thing I can think of is the hinges weren’t installed evenly...

I push on both corners to help lock it all into place every time I open mine up.

even then, mine will pop up if i put too much weight in the center. But usually grabbing and pulling the corner is fine, just make sure the ladder isnt set yet.

I love having adjusters all the way around. Drastic difference especially when towing

I know this is a bit more creature comforts than some may prefer, but with entering and exiting my tailgate at camp, I often use a Cgear Mat to reduce the dirt that gets tracked in near the tailgate and keep the mud down. Best mat I've found yet.

I'm glad I bought a gas tool instead of clickers. Although I suppose both might be better :)

I use two straps to synch my "hanging" side down so it stays locked. Helps with wind bounce as well.

    IMG_20180608_210842861_LL.jpg

If you zoom in that picture you can see one of them. I just hook then to the springs or frame somewhere. Just the pull type strap, pulled until it's snug not wrenched down heavy.

    Hopefully that helps

That’s a good idea. I could probably do the same but hook it to the roof racks to be more out of the way. Thanks.

My tent did the same thing. Loosen the hinge bolts, push the tongue into the groove, and retighten.

The straps to hold it open help other things but won't fix this.
