Glad to see everything worked out for you. Mine is still error free. The garnish is not glass it is basically black plastic with a shiny coat.

To everyone else...it amazes me you all will spend 35-45,000 on a truck but not 50 bucks on a piece that will allow everything to work correctly. I get the aesthetics aspect but for fuck's sake.

For all of you that wish to have OEM parts, go to cheapestfactoryparts.com and order the grill and garnish for 240 bucks and not worry about it. Pull a VIN from a local Pro (within a few hundred miles of your location) and get exactly what you need. Trust me this website and the dealers hate the VIN process as much we do but that is the portrait Toyota has painted.

I ended up doing the same thing, used a dremel it came right out. I also used the factory garnish and it was a simple plug in. Took it out for a drive and everything worked great, no error codes either. I too went with Gary’s advice and ordered my parts from cheapfactory.

Yeah, for as cheap as the website has actual OEM parts that we know will work; why not use them? Install was a breeze.

Hey, this looks sweet! Do you have an OEM part number for the Black surround/bezel?

I just used a hammer and punch. One light tap and the heat weld broke free.

Got the grille and the garnish from eBay about $150 total for both and as someone who is not mechanically inclined at all installed it in just over an hour, cruise control works just fine never got an error and have driven about 300 miles with it on

Is the only way to find out if the TSS is working correctly after installing the PRO grill.. is not getting any error codes? How can I test the brake assist?

Go out and test it on the road. I read some people have an error pop up initially but then goes away after driving a few miles. But with my eBay grille and garnish I had 0 issues/errors
