Thanks! I've wasted no time getting off road once I moved here. Fortunately, I've friended a few TW peeps who are in the area. We should meet up sometime!

 

My 40 year old FJ40 went up to $130 this year. Luckily I live close enough to Oregon I save 80 cents a gallon for gas. Ready to leave California

 

Built a simple little pup seat for the new good boy so he doesn’t have to sleep with his neck broke like the first pic.
I originally removed the rear seats but decided to put them back in because the hinges help support it in the rear and help it sit up a little higher.
I made the front legs a little long so it pitches back to keep the dog and things from falling/rolling forward.
Also added some foamy sticky door seal stuff to the plastic interior pieces to help avoid rattles and scratches. It’s super easy to remove but I doubt I will even when he out grows it. I plan to have the pup ride in the cap on the comfy bed rug when he’s older and it’s cooler outside especially when he’s muddy from mountain biking.
Going to carpet it when it arrives this week or next.

 

Thanks for pointing this out. I wasn't aware that there were replacement led flashers. I was looking for led bulbs with built-in resistors.

Would a replacement flasher work with the stock mirror blinkers (which I assume have resistors)?

A pair of these worked for me. Just attach them in parallel with the turn signal bulb wires. I screwed the ballast to the sheet metal behind the light.

Grounds were WHITE/BLACK and the Tails/Flashers were the thicker gauge wire (blue and yellow). Again they are NUMBERED, 1,2, and 3. #2 is ignored on both drivers/passengers side, which was GREEN.

Did my BHLM with Morimoto switch back Halos, couldn’t be happier with the turnout.

Sorry, I just did a lot of research on the LED subject and it appears that there's no replacement LED flasher for Tacos 2016-2018.

 

maybe im late to this convo.. i cant remember the # of the front signal bulb but I found some with built in resistors on Amazon in Canada. They are the size of a small sausage , bright as fuck, plug n play, no hyper flash etc...

 

Thanks! ...for the reply. I really should break down and read the led replacement thread. I'm sure I'm plodding over well-traveled ground, but trying to go through past threads requires a lot of patience and perseverance.

I have a 2017, so no sensor, but there is a removable cutout for the grill mounted sensor for you 2018+ guys
