Lol! Good times my friend! Im just thinking of the noise your pristine 3rd gen made when you sat your exhaust pipe on that rock. I immediately thought to myself, that can't be good. But you looked good doing it!!

A little rub here and there is all part of the fun. Did you decide on aluminum or steel skids?

Your truck was 3 wheeling like a champ and kept on going. Looking forward to the next trip!

I can attest to @R@t_b@st@rd is happy to be on 3 wheels. He tore that trail up like a boss. It's cool to see a 3rd gen being flexed out.

I'm going steel including bumpers. Because using crawl control to dismount off of rocks is fun.

Exhaust on broadway is awesome. I think the tech's name is Eric that does all my work. He has an old yota pick up and a white dodge diesel

i'll be running Chinese HAM this weekend, I stick to family radio service (FRS) channels on low power to stay off actual HAM channels until I get a license....

    https://www.amazon.com/BaoFeng-UV-5...e=UTF8&qid=1531187603&sr=1-4&keywords=baofeng

    https://www.amazon.com/Baofeng-Orig...87765&sr=1-2-spons&keywords=baofeng+12v&psc=1

BEWARE it's illegal to transmit on these without HAM license (super easy test, 15 bucks i think to take the test) on frequencies 144.000 MHz – 146.000 MHz (2m band) and 430.000 MHz – 440.000 MHz (70cm band). technically illegal to transmit on any of the GMRS-only channels as well. The loop hole is that these chinese ones have the FRS frequencies on them which can be found below. The FRS are the store bought walkie talkies. These chinese Baofeng HAMs have a low power level of 1W which is legal for use on the FRS frequencies below without license.

    List of FRS channels
Channel Frequency (MHz) FRS Power Restriction
    1 462.5625 Up to 2 watt
    2 462.5875 Up to 2 watt
    3 462.6125 Up to 2 watt
    4 462.6375 Up to 2 watt
    5 462.6625 Up to 2 watt
    6 462.6875 Up to 2 watt
    7 462.7125 Up to 2 watt
    8 467.5625 Up to 0.5 watt
    9 467.5875 Up to 0.5 watt
    10 467.6125 Up to 0.5 watt
    11 467.6375 Up to 0.5 watt
    12 467.6625 Up to 0.5 watt
    13 467.6875 Up to 0.5 watt
    14 467.7125 Up to 0.5 watt
    15 462.5500 Up to 2 watt
    16 462.5750 Up to 2 watt
    17 462.6000 Up to 2 watt
    18 462.6250 Up to 2 watt
    19 462.6500 Up to 2 watt
    20 462.6750 Up to 2 watt
    21 462.7000 Up to 2 watt
    22 462.7250 Up to 2 watt

They are much cleaner audio quality and transmit quality than CB due to being FM modulated instead of AM modulated. being low power hand held means they dont have great range through glass, but ultimately you could wire an external antenna into the unit and use a higher power level to get some decent range (with license for >2W power).

I suggest if you get one, you follow rules and laws and stay on low power on only the FRS frequencies until you get license. It's really cheap, really good audio quality, and expandable if you want to get a license and use the 2m/70cm bands with higher power.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Family_Radio_Service

and most importantly, you can talk with me on trails until I buy an ARB bull bar that I can mount a CB antenna to :p
