Yep. Summer of 95, my second tour there. We bought a van and spent the summer looking for surf. I was stationed in MCAS Futenma doing AVI on shitters.

Yes was at Schwab when it happened. Base was put on lock down, than I got transferred. Glad I was loved it at Fuji. Didn't like cab, hot humid, and hot. Every morning getting drenched just walking to the chaw hall. My msgt asked me if I knew how to use a snow plow I said yes, got transferred. But found out Humvees snow n valcanic ash don't mix.

Probably the only good thing about being on the fligtline was that we didn’t wear cammies all day. Just a rolled down pair of blue work suits.

I was in Fallujah in 2006-2007 with 2/10 Echo doing convoy security. We might have been working with you (Sep. 2006 to Apr. 2007).

I was there from March, 2006 to September, 2006. My unit did counter battery artillery and EOD security.

Ok, I was just wondering because they were using arty batteries to do all sorts of stuff at that time. We were attached to some unit, I don’t even know who, thought it might have been you guys.

We made runs from Camp Fallujah up Mobile to Michigan to the little IP station/FOB to drop off Iraqis once or twice a week. I bet it may have been that place. Total shithole, people would take potshots from the buildings around it all day.

Yep! That's the one. The sniper fire and mortars became a regular thing. It wasn't as bad as Ramadi in 2004 though. Holy shit! I hated being there.
