    Camper life.
This weekend I finally picked up a set of All Pro Expo leaf springs. Cannot wait to get rid of this saggy booty. I have a few extra sets of AP leaf packs if anyone else is interested.

We're you looking for a locking differential? I have one rolling around here. Have the axle also but it's rusted.

I went to Cars & Coffee today at IMS and they told me to go to the general lot since he assumed I wasn’t there to show my truck  I politely informed him that it was most definitely a show that gets used lol. It was just a funny situation since it was the only off-road and muddy truck there

I'm long overdue for a regear, it's time! All the links I have saved from back in the day don't work anymore. Looks like PORC is not even in business anymore.

2001 DC, auto, 3.4, 33s, elocker, daily driver so highway driving matters to me. Want to go with 4.88 instead of 4.56, is that the right choice? Can you guys recommend what brand gears & who to buy from? Will be getting them installed at a local rear end shop, Hoopers.

All I remember is US Gear, Yukon, Nitro, Richmond? Do I need the full or mini install kit? I just had the axle seals & bearings replaced last month.

    Thanks

My boys '97 - Replaced the Clutch Master and Slave cylinder today. Also, found the source of the squeal/grind noise coming from the front end. Apparently one of the brake pad clips popped out on one end and was grinding against the wheel (ironically the noise started happening at the same time the Master/Slave took a shit, so I was fearing something let go in the clutch/bell housing area as well...phew).

His truck took priority this weekend as I was sick of carpooling to work. My '03 dbl cab needs some love soon. I have had the Hayden 678 tranny cooler on the shelf for a bit, but need to pick up some additional tranny line to complete the job.

Me and Dad were talking and turned into how much money I spent on the truck. He figured it all out and I just:lalala:i don't care about my build cost. There's people who spend more money on VW beetle builds lol

Check out ECGS (East Coast Gear Supply), they seem to be the #1 go to for gear sets on the forum these days.

Finished the valve cover gasket replacement project. Wow, took 4 days. Now, on to the timing belt replacement project. Unfortunately, I noticed that my brand new outer CV boot on the driver side is already torn again. :(

Is the 5VZE known to burn a little oil in between changes? Started noticing a little while back that I'm burning through a half quart to 3/4 quart every 7000 miles or so. I do full synthetic changes about that often. Wondering if maybe I need to look into valve cover gaskets though I haven't noticed any visual leaks.

My goes through about 1/2 a quart.
If it’s normal or not I do not know.

Yeah I remember my old Scion did it too about when it hit the 100k mark, though I'm not anywhere near that with this truck yet (67k). Guess I'll just keep an eye on it for now and see if it gets worse or if I can spot any leaks.
