    That's what I thought. If I bought two, I might as well just buy the OEM one--it's the same price at that point. Although, I read reviews that it doesn't actually fit right if you have a drop in bedliner.

    They do, but it's 4 ft wide. I wouldn't be able to stand the gaps.


    I may just not bother looking for something. It hasn't really annoyed me much yet.

    well, I completed the dog bunk area and it looks good enough to be a little playroom for the baby lol. but my next modification is going to be to the truck bed/cap. Need to figure out how to help keep the dogs cool. Thinking about putting in two fans, 1 pulling air in and one pushing out in the side windows. or mounting an rv air conditioner to the cap lol

    With some massaging to get it into place, a 29" bicycle tube can be used as a gasket between the back of your cab and the front of the cap. Slightly inflate it, move it into place and then blow it up till it's secure and doesn't shift. Now you can open the sliding glass (I assume you have sliding glass on both the truck and cap) and A/C the bed as well.

    I've been eyeing some larger tires and was hoping to get some recommendations/suggestions from those that know a bit more. Still learning as I go but, I've been looking at 255/85/16 for tires so I don't need to also buy 17" rims. What I've found so far points that 3gs are either able to run that with no issue or some slight rubbing which is better than running 265+ & trimming a ton. Comparing the Discoverer S/T & S/T Maxx in that size and I was curious of what load range would be better? (https://tires.bjs.com/tires/compare/) The S/T is a C & the Maxx is an E; the truck is a DD duty in the winter months & splits time during the nice weather. Is an E overkill for driving normally most of the time & wheeling occasionally? I like the stats and reviews I've seen on the Maxx but the price & weight make me question that choice.

    Also what should I expect if I'm jumping the tire diameter by 3"?

    No opening in the cap. Just the side sliding windows. Currently looking at evaporative coolers

    I went with Toyo Open Country M/T 255/85/16. I took the mudflaps off, per suggestions of other members. Haven't done any off roading yet, but I've hit several "high" angle transitions from street to business entries. When I hit these, the taco was at an angle to the entry and I was gunning so I didn't get t-boned while crossing traffic. I would get very slight rubbing on the top of the wheel well. I don't have a lift yet, but assume when I nail that down, I won't have any more rubbing issues.

    Is E overkill? From the sound of it, probably.

    Why not just get a car's cooling fan. It already runs on 12V so it would be the easiest to wire and wouldn't need any type of transformer or anything
