What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I wish i got a picture but i saw a really nice blue tacoma the other days. It was almost like metallic on a stock 1st gen 5lug

 

One thing I learned in auto body class was if your going to paint a car, get what you want done the first time. Even if it means more time to hone your skills at painting with a metallic color. Every step of painting a car is a bitch. Might as well make it worth it in the end.

But in regards to white being easy to work with, I was told if its not metallic, it will be easier to spray. So you could go black, red, orange etc.. as long as its not metallic. Me personally, I'm feeling this new Audi color...

 

that loos nice on that car but what about our trucks? some colors compliment the shape of the car/truck better then others

idk. only green color i know of is the 6Q7 paint code Imperial Jade Mica

 

I forgot to post my finished intake, waiting on three more tbolt clamps but oh well. Anyway this is likely gonna get sold with the SC.

White is just such a basic color. Everybody has a white car these days. Someday, when I actually have a project truck, I'm gonna make it stand out. Ive always wanted a Suzuki Samurai on solid axles with a Chevy 4.3 painted in Bright orange.

 

slap a cummins diesel sticker on a Prius and watch the confused looks as they go by lol

 

Oh I was considering Orange too, but more of a dark low-key version. Kind of why I like that Copper Canyon color.

 

Did you drink your piss? I hear that Bear does that all the time for a true overlanding experience before setting up his sleep system.

There is a guy that lives near by with a copper canyon ext. cab, I think that color looks gorgeous in person

 

Thats basically what I'm doing though. Cheap used motor and a junker Zuk plus a motor build kit from them will make my dream a reality.

 

Oh and my Tacoma Today... Finished painting the last 2nd gen wheel today. Hard to believe how crummy these wheels were a month ago. Gonna get them mounted hopefully this Friday. The ones in the top left and bottom right got a bit too much clear so I'll ask for them to be put on the same side.
