    Ya it’s a center diff lock. 01-02 4Runners have AWD and center diff locks that allow real 4WD. It’s still open/open diffs

    Splits the power front and rear 50/50 so you get bind when you steer. Where as when you're in normal High, you're in AWD. So you don't get bind. It's a RWD bias AWD system.

    This isn't something you need to think about though because Manuals were only offered from 1996 to 2000

    Are the 99 Limiteds available in manual? I know they were the start of the Multi Mode TCase but still available with rear Locker.

    As you posted the link I didn't want to search. No manual on limiteds.
