I did see rebates on the Cooper's. But not enough to compare to the sales I saw last spring. Apparently April and October are the best times to buy tires.

Could get extreme country's for like $500 out the door. Now they're $750 or so.

That kinda sucks about the time frame makes me rethink the decision to get them even though I already used it once. Since they go based off the price of the tire mine are like 40 some bucks a tire. But if I think about it I bought 5 certificates for 45 bucks each so thats like 225 bucks where one tires is like 300 bucks so I save 75 bucks :anonymous: vs having to but a new tire at that 300+ price point. Damn ya'll for pointing it out now I am rethinking the whole certificate thing since it's just for 3 yrs.

Good deal. I'd have to go to Columbia and hour away to get one replace. Maybe if the deals are good enough I could get a full size sspare too.

Well most tires seem to last 50k miles average. Even at 15k a year you're close to 3 years in service.

The real consideration should be how much will you be using the tires off road within that 3 years. You already got one replaced so if you end up replacing another...the certs were worth it. You seem to be getting out quite a bit so I bet you’d find the certs worthwhile.

But on the other hand I am hard on them on the trails at URE or somewhere almost every weekend so my chances of damage are increased (and yes I am :boink: to get out there more). :annoyed: Decisions

    What's 15k a yr. :anonymous: @JimboAnz

Yeah that's what I was just running through in my head but the next set the tires are over 500 a piece so certs will be like 100 bucks ea. I think that a road car it may not be worth it because they are going on the law of averages for the # people who remember they have it and will use it, #of actual replacement tires given out within the life of the certificate for the average commuter.

Truck looks a little naked without the cap but it's so much more useable for me now. I like a cap for certain things wish I had a place to store it or I would of kept it for camping and stuff like that.

And my twin is who bought the cap

If you drive your truck you're likely to wear out a set before 3 years.. It does cover offroad, or at least they've covered all the tires I've punctured offroad.. I will keep buying them. In fact I have a badly worn tire... I think it's time to drive through the new apartment complex and see if I can pickup a screw in it..
