Apparently not all dealers will do it because of liability concerns.

Bullshit. It's a Toyota form. Fill it out. Take it to service manager. See post 35.

I haven't had that problem. But it seems some members have. Purchasing one of the extenders would probably turn off the beep AND still allow them to connect their seatbelt when/if the wanted. Just another option for those having dealers issues.

Seems more a safety concern not turning off the beep. I don't wear a seat belt but occasionally if I'm doing stupid stuff I'll put it on. Or if a wreck is coming I'd like to have the option to put it on without trying to unclick one of these products first.

I had the dealer remove the chimes on mine at the first service. My reason was work related (not that he dealership ever asked) as driving around a construction site it's not really nessesary to wear the seatbelt.

I’m pretty sure you got an owners manual. Have you considered reading it?

It’s all you need to take to your dealer. And yes, all the customizable options are there. It’s in your manual.

Most people just ignore her. I recommend you do as well if you are going to get fired up about it.

I have never seen that Toyota form before but did notice they called out 8000km so likely something from Canada and may be dealer specific.

Buy the carista adapter and then use the app to turn it off... you can also change a bunch of other things as well based on the stuff you got on your truck

3" rigid sound better especially for all of you in cold country in the winter, would extend up past your multi layers of clothing.

I received the 3" rigid extensions. About the best thing I've bought in a while. Raises the connector up so they're super easy to connect, and whooowla….no more irritating buzzer. I'm going to buy several more sets for the other cars.
