Towed the family boat down to Bridgeport and back, rode on the bumps the whole time because of how heavy everything was. Thank jebus my Deavers shipped yesterday! :bananadance:

This is why you should always listen to @jberry813 suspension advice.

I literally jacked my truck as high as possible without shocks then did my measurements from there. It must be your leafpack

Dude that picture was with it on the ground. The shackles stayed down when they lowered it off the rack and they didn’t notice the 6” ride height difference. Jason can probably explain the reason better than I can. But I’ve got some BAMF hangers on order right now FWIW.

So did this happen because of the hanger, or was it something that the dealership did? Just curious because I was going to order a set of the archive hangers and shackles.

Yes. The hangers and Deavers don’t seem to pair well due to the factory that hammer hangers don’t use the same stock geometry. They’ll work with some packs, like my old Dakar HDs. But Deavers not so much. And I’m definitely not going to use a piece of plastic to try and bandaid the issue.

Ordered King Hydro Bumps today so that when my BAMF hangers come in I can make sure everything is cycling properly (aka no more Mad Max):mudding:

Would you recommend getting the BAMF ones instead?

I would for two reasons. Fitment and customer service.

There’s another guy on the HH thread that had issues with his Dakar’s while cycling his suspension. It didn’t seem as bad as mine but something to consider.

And I was really let down by Eric with Archives response to the issue. Obviously there is a problem if the shackles are able to lock out like that, and I asked and confirmed with him before I installed the Deaver pack and he said stock shackles will work fine. No warning of possible lock out or anything. I haven’t seen the posts but I’ve heard from numerous people that he previously stated you needed longer shackles with Deavers which makes sense. But then after I post up on the HH thread his response is I should run a piece of plastic to stop the shackle from rotating down that far or run limit straps. No offers to try and troubleshoot, different shackle options, just a ‘yeah that sucks’ kind of response.

Now go look at the BAMF hanger thread. Some people had fitment issues with the BAMF shackles and certain leafs packs. So Jerry went through and redesigned the shackles, and shipped them out to every single person that got the first batch, regardless if they had fitment issues or not, at no cost. That’s solid customer service and showing that you want to help make things right immediately. I feel much more confident that if an issue arose with BAMF, they’d want to really fix it, not bandaid it like Archive.

Of course man :fistbump: I don’t want other people having the same issues. Their website says like 6-8 week lead time but I called on Monday and they said they’re like 2 weeks out so I’d order soon if you want to get in on this batch!

Haven’t been doing good at keeping this updated. Camping as much as I can since I’ve had weekends off and working on little things here and there. Installed some King Hydro Bumps, repositioned my lower shock mounts and added an outlet to the bed. Also camped.

Finally tested out the awning and it’s perfect for places like Pyramid where there’s absolute no shade
