I'm not sure what their expectations are. I don't understand "route planning", I imagine that's more than one destination in series- makes no sense to me. Personally, I've not had a problem with accuracy. I used Google Maps before Scout GPS and I like it, especially the progress bar that shows you a relative distance until your next turn- I REALLY like that feature.

Good to know.. People saying the gps sends them through wrong streets, directions keep them going in circles, loosing signal.. And the app actually says if you are pre 2017 you can only get turn by turn directions, not an actual map. Anyway.. I guess it would be worth trying.. And they are saying the all consumes a lot of data.. Thanks for your feedback and answering questions.. Definitelly a good option still.

I laugh at people sometimes, no common sense.
The app's purpose is to show you directions from one place to another. If they want a map, pull up Google Maps.
And honestly, how often do people not know where they're going? I understand someone that's on a trip/vacation or traveling for work to new accounts/sales. The average guy doesn't need this service often imho

Haha I did the same thing on my 2007 with 2014 Nav, Bluetooth phone controls, & USB.

Thank you for posting all the part numbers! That's going to help me tremendously

Did you check to see if you had any kind of prewiring in the dash? I swapped a 13 headunit and have Bluetooth and mic capability but no steering wheel controls.

I know I need a new clockspring and airbag cover. I already have a 2010 steering wheel with all the controls. I have an 09 base reg cab.

I was bare bones, 2005 RC SR5. I upgraded my harness to a 2008 with electrical options shortly after getting the truck, it didn't have it either.

btw I got the clockspring off an ebay recycler from a Lexus with same part number, was about $40 shipped with 40k miles on it. It had back end lateral damage, I was mindful not to get one that had front/rear impact damage. You can follow my link to the airbag swap, I have the source for the cover there.

Like main electrical harness for the whole truck?

Just making sure I don’t need to run anything from radio to steering wheel.

I know this one is gone but if I had a JBL radio this is the one I would use.. just have to keep an eye on eBay

    https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/372567823105

The main plug is the same and then you need the 24 to 20 adapter listed here.

I did this with my Prius, it had a regular JBL radio and swapped it for an upgraded JBL radio from another Prius but it has nav, Bluetooth etc. All I had to get was the 24 to 20 pin adapter, the antenna adapter and it works fine. Only thing I still have to do is to figure out how to feed the speed sensor to it so my navigation doesn’t lag. But it can be done

Keep getting message saying microphone not connected (for Bluetooth functionality). I’ve got the
20-28 pin: PT546-00120-CH harness installed, and all my harnesses from my stock 2007 head unit (non jbl) are plugged in. Can’t figure out which pins are for the microphone, or what else I need to add. Anyone have any advice?

My apologies for reviving an old buy sell thread. Just trying to get some insight here.
