I am pretty sure that spc joints are bigger on the FJ and wont fit yours. As long as you are sure that the joint is still in the cup then you can gt it home without a boot.

I have access to a car trailer if you need me to drag it down to my house or sonora if you decide you need a shop to work on it.

Thanks to @Pickeledpigsfeet were have the spindle with the seized bearing a SPC boot and some lube

As of right now the plan is use the 97 spindle and make it work.

If we can’t remove the stock ball joint form the 97 @Pickeledpigsfeet said he has a press.

Heading out of cell range, if you hear from us tomorrow we failed in the first effort.

Thanks to everyone for offering help!!!

I’ll update this as soon as I can

Love this forum, so many helpful people. Good luck OP, guess you'll just have to sit around and drink more beer than initially planned - hope your transport can bring a restock for that too.

    ^ yeah he won’t

Update: went back down the the runner started removing A couple things and turns out we don’t have a few things:

Axle nut looks to be a 35mm

Dust shield can be cut with metal snips (runner has the tundra brake upgrade)

You can cut the backing plate if you want, but I'm pretty sure I just bent it back I a few spots.

Yes, axle nut is a 35mm

You're gonna want a 250lb torque wrench for getting that axle nut back on, too. Assuming you needed to disassemble the LBJ bolts I'd make sure you have a torque wrench for those (60ft lbs) and blue locktite.

Update: spindle was swapped has an issue seating the lower part of the ball joint in the spindle as seen below used some parts from @Pickeledpigsfeet to get this bad boy to limp to the gas station for a tow

Had SPC UCAs and we couldn’t get the bottom part of the ball joint fully fitted in the spindle, also lost the c clip. Came up with a bandaid, to get it driveable.

But making the 150 Miles on a bandaid is no bueno so it got towed

This seems unlikely lol Its probably just fatigue stress from a long cycle life.

I'd just assume metal fatigue from high speed impacts.
