    https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/14th-annual-southern-cruiser-crawl.1043337/

    Dates: October 11-14 2018
    Place: Hot Springs ORV park Hot Springs, AR
    Park info: www.orvpark.com Phone: 501-625-3600
    Registration info: http://cottonlandcruisers.com/registration/

    From talking to the folks that were putting on the Razorback Ramble, they all said that the Southern Cruiser Crawl is a great time and a pretty big event. Hot Springs ORV is a big park so there are plenty of trails to run so it would be hard to come across others while on the trails honestly... even for a very large event I think.

    This would be an event that I can be from my house in Tyler to the park in about 4 hours so I would be leaving early Thursday morning more than likely.

    Last year there was food provided every night along with live music and a pretty nice raffle. You can see more here as the page has not been updated yet... http://cottonlandcruisers.com/annual-off-road-event/

    I encourage anyone to come as I think it would be a great reason to visit Hot Springs ORV if you have not gone before, the hospitality that I received when I was there for the Razorback Ramble from the everyone there was second to none and I met a lot of great people that were very friendly and ready to have fun when it came to wheeling!

    Camping:
    On-Site RV spots as well as primitive camping spots need to be reserved thru the park. RV spots are pretty much booked up already... get on the standby list because they will notify you if they have cancellations.

    I called on 7/23/18 and they have overflow primitive camping spot available, both above the parking lot that is not very shaded and some that are behind RV spots in the woods that would be more shaded. I have reserved myself a camping spot for now in the shaded wood area... they will just need a CC to reserve your spot but will not charge it... they have a 2 week cancellation policy on all sites, so if you do not cancel then you will be charged to your CC for that spot.

    KOA is 2 miles from the park with cabins and RV spots - 501-624-5912
    Panther Valley is a 1/4 mile from the park and has cabins that book quickly for this event - 501-623-5556
    Red Roof Inn is maybe 5 miles from the park - 501-624-3321

    I went to an event here back in June and it was hot and humid during the day, but still great to camp at night in a tent, it should be a lot nicer weather to be able to camp so don't be bothered about it.

    I'm about 70% sure I'm going. If so, I'll be leaving Thursday morning about 8am. I'd leave earlier but I won't get off shift until 7am that morning.

    Question:
    Reg. is $80. Then it says something about another $55 for non members. Then $15 for extra meal ticket. So for me, wife & kid to go & eat Fri. & Sat., I'm looking @ $80+55+15+15+15+15=$195. Is that correct?

    You have a registration for the actual event and then you would have to pay the fee to be at the ORV, it will be cheaper for you to get a membership as it includes the day you buy it. So it is worth just paying the $55 for the membership instead of the other option.

    Registration = $80
    ORV Fee = $55
    Wife Friday and Saturday Meal = $15
    If Kid is under 10 years old = $0
    If Kid is over 10 = $15

    Extra meal ticket is for Friday and Saturday night.

    @Naveronski

    Do you want to do camping in the Overflow on the left or on the right in the woods? I have mine currently reserved on the right in the woods. The one on the left is like an extra parking lot up a hill, I just remember the one on the right was a little overgrown when I was there so there is not much space but who knows...

    I need to get with one guy that I talked to when I was there for Razorback Ramble and see if they were still going to camp in another spot and see if we could possible set up with them maybe, but it is way off in the park in an open area.

    I’m not sure. I need to call the park and see if any of the spots have opened up. Pending that, I have an invite from a couple of TTR folks to crash in one of theirs, or we can claim a field spot.

    I prefer to have a designated area that is “ours” over a refugee tent vomit city.

    Order, as it should be.

    Call the park today and then let me know?

    I would rather not be in refugee tent city as well, I sent the guy a message on the bookface to see if his setup was still going or what and waiting to hear a reply...

    What all TTR people are going? I guess right now, it is just you, I, maybe @MolonLabeTaco, maybe @Tundra2Play but I doubt it..., maybe @lordetaco (or am I wrong in that?)

    I guess no one else from DFW wants to go to Hot Springs and have a literal crap ton of fun...

    Hey that is more important and SCC after registration, camping, and fuel for you, may not be super cheap for you... just plan on trying to come to fall run two weekends after?

    Word, that would be better on the pocket book for you with school and such anyways, and less of a drive.
