Hey, I bought my wife a 08 4runner XSP about a year ago. We haven't had any trouble with it. A couple months ago the rear driver side door would not lock or unlock with the remote or from the front seat switch. Then about a month ago, the rear passenger started. Now in the past two weeks, all of the doors do not lock or unlock with the remote or the front switch. My wife has to manually lock and unlock each door. The car only has 110k miles on it. it seems too weird for all of them to just go out together like this. Has anyone else had this problem? what would be the steps to finding and repairing the problem?

Could be the drivers switch is bad, all 4 actuators are bad, or the body control module.

I would check to see if the actuators(door lock motors) are getting power at each door.

Seeing that they all went out at different times, bad actuators could be the problem. If that is the issue, I believe they're about $70 a piece. I have to diagnose the same issue on a friends 2010 4runner.

My wifes 2015 corolla had both front actuators replaced while under warranty. I'm in the process of replacing the motor for the rear drivers side actuator and lone behold the rear passengers door is starting to act up...Even at wholesale pricing they're around $250 a piece, fuck that.
