Got my setup from Brown today. 6112's are much bigger than what I expected.

I ran them on the top notch for the last year with no issues. The alignment shop could only get my caster to 1.3 but it still drove straight and I had no issues. Last week I installed Camburg Ball joint UCA's and the steering is much tighter now. It is a definite improvement but there was nothing wrong before I installed them.

can you expand on that a bit? I've been trying to tighten up the steering. Recently replaced the steering rack bushings and it had a nominal impact. I've got 6112/5160s sitting in the garage now waiting for install, and was considering UCA's. I'm going with #3 setting, so the UCAs would primarily be for steering feel. If its a very noticeable improvement it might be worth the money, whats your opinion/experience?

UCAs are worth it IMO. JBA UCAs donjust fine and aren’t to expensive.

Mine are set at 6/5 so I think I feel the difference more than you with with with them set at 3. Before installing UCA’s the steering was pretty loose. I could turn the wheel at least an inch in both directions while driving and my truck wouldn’t budge. Now it is much more responsive. Also, after a sharp turn the wheel would not return to zero on its own. After UCA’s is quickly returns to zero like it should.

Ended up with 3" up front and 3 3/4" out back when first pulled out of the shop. Definitely more then expected. Getting aligned now. We'll see how that goes and if they can align it with the stock UCA's. I'm now expecting to have to buy a set of UCA's with that much lift. Also have to see if I end up pulling a leaf out of the Dakar pack if too much rake.

How much did everyone's 6112's settle?

I have the same set up in a sec gen 2013 dclb. I only went up 2.25 in the front and 2.75 in the rear. I have the 6112's on the 4th out of 5 notch and the dakars in the rear were the medium duty. Did you put the heavy duty on the rear? If not, I am wondering if they tightened down the bolts on the dakars before they dropped it off the lift and pre-loaded the rear suspension. If not, you can always go down a notch in the front and take out the third leaf out of the dakars to lower you a little.

Heavy's in rear. I specifically chatted with the shop about dropping the truck off the lift prior to tightening the leaf packs up and we were on the same page. I was close to even front/back with stock setup and the Leer topper on, so if I'm around 1" stock rake, thats fine.

Are you going to consistently carry 600+ lbs in the back of your truck or did you get the heavy dakars just due to the cap? I have a leer XR cap on my truck with the mediums and still have 2.75 of lift. If you are going to carry the weight then the back will go down. As for the front UCA's, most certainly get an aftermarket pair.......I would reccomend JBA's.

Looks good a little high outback but I would expect that with heavys. Keep us posted on everything. I was told I didn’t need UCA because only going 2”. What size tire is on there? Mine sets pretty level with cap as well.

I'm right in the middle for the leaf packs. Topper +200lbs, rock sliders 150lbs, loaded up with hunting dogs and gear, plus UTV trailer on occasion. I went heavy thinking I could always take a leaf out and it was cheaper to buy the heavy now, then to buy the Medium + AAL later. I plan on putting a rear bumper on eventually as well.

Yeah..I was told the same, but ended up at 3" up front for now. Running 265/70/17's, but thats probably going to change in the near future. Ultimately want to do gears and tires. Haven't picked it up from alignment shop, so no numbers to look at yet.

Any vibes going up that high? Carrier bearing? Axle shims?

Just picked it up. Nothing to speak of so far, but with traffic barely hit 50 mph. Carrier bearing spacers is all. Will report back after some miles on it.

Are you sure that’s 3” lift up front, doesn’t look like it, What’s your measure from ground to fender and/or hub to fender. What size tire are you running? Is this 3rd gen 6112s or 2nd gen 6112s?

Anyways thought I’d update: 6112s 6/5 setting with 650lb springs, running Icon RXT leaf pack option 3. Tire are 285/75r16 toyo RTs and running JBA UCAs at caster of 3.

    Measurements ground to fender:
    Driver front 38.25”
Rear is 39.5” with about 200lb of gear
When I had my truck loaded with with about 400lbs I was at 39”

Icon RXT pack is firm and rides 10xs Better Than my 3leaf aal. I wouldn’t even suggest putting an AAL anymore.

Note this picture is not on level ground.

You will get a nice packet with the 6112's now - better than the one I got for my Tundra 6112's. I have attached it here. My guess would be that you would simply take your circlip up one setting from your desired lift for ARB. If you want to err on the side of being taller, go two settings.

I have a topper on the back, so hoping a stock 1st Gen DC with a topper would be a little bit "stink bug" with the 7/8 setting and the medium rear OME Dakar's. Hoping this levels out with camping gear.

OffRoad Hidden Winch Bumper, ComeUp DV-9s winch, SOS Concepts Sliders and IFS Skid plate, VIAIR 400P Auto compressor mounted in a Expedition Essentials bedside mount, TRD Quick Shifter, TRD Cat-Back exhaust, ,75WX ST CB, Pioneer AVH-X4800BS, and various other mods and things...
    Finished installing a 6112/5160/Dakar lift on 22 Jul18.

Up front I installed 6112s with TRD (PTR13-35120) 650 lb coils, a ¼” spacer on the driver’s side, and SPC LR UCAs . The 6112s were set to the 4th position and the LR UCAs were set to the neutral (+2 degree) position. Went with the 650 lb coils due to added weight (~300 lbs) up front; US OffRoad Hidden Winch Bumper, ComeUp DV-9s winch, IFS skid plate and rock sliders from SOS Concepts.

In the rear I added OME EL096R leafs. Not currently carrying any significant added weight in the back but looking to doing some long term traveling with a small travel trailer (Casita) in the near future.

Initial measurements before adding the extra weight and the lift were:

(Center hub to bottom of fender flair)

    LF: 20.0”, RF: 20.0”
    LR: 21.0”, RR: 21.0”

Initial measurements after added weight and lift showed an increase of about 3.75” to 4.0” front and rear.

after an alignment (3.25 degrees caster, 0 degrees camber and 0 degrees toe) and 10 days later the front has settled down to 2.5” and the rear has not really settled much; 3.75”.

    LF: 22.5”, RF: 22.5”
    LR: 24.75”, RR: 24.75

I haven’t noticed any vibrations at all and the truck actually drives better than it did before. Overall very pleased with the outcome.

Ok..I put a tape on the truck this morning. I'm running 265/70/17's and the 6112's are 3rd gen standard 600lb springs with 1/4" driver side spacer.

    FL: 37 1/8 FR: 37 3/8
    RL: 39 RR: 39 1/8

This is with full tank of gas and bed empty with Leer topper on. I gained 2" up front, not 3" the shop stated. Going to drive it for a few weeks and see how it settles out. Would prefer less rake then 2", but it rides great so far. Have to see how it goes off-road and loaded up, then I'll decide if I'm going to pull a leaf.

Here's alignment numbers after lift with stock UCA's
