Hey guys! Heading down to the Fort Valley, Virginia area in mid-August with my two sons, and wanted to do a little exploring while we are down. Can anyone suggest some fairly easy trails or areas to explore? I'll be in my 4wd Tacoma with a 3" lift and 33's...... Not looking to go too crazy because I'll have my kids with me and we will be solo, so not looking to break anything... Hahaha.... Any and all advice is appreciated! I don't mind paying a small daily use fee or permit for the week.

    Thanks!

    First off welcome to TW.
You will be close to Peters Mill Run / Tasker Gap OHV which I have never been to but I heard its easy and stock friendly.

Also south of you is Flagpole/Redish Knob which is west of Harrisonburg VA which is a fun ride with some minor obstacles and mud holes to play in. Very easy IMO

Further south is Bald Mountain which is a little harder then Flagpole Knob but not by much. Worst thing I encountered with this trail is the brush since the trails are overgrown some.

I would stay away from Potts Mountain unless you have another vehicle and don't worry about body damage

Awesome info! I appreciate it! I will check them out in advance to see if any permits are needed...... I believe Peters Mill requires a daily use permit if I'm not mistaken, which is no problem for me.......

    thanks again!

Now worries. Peters is the only one that requires a permit which is the only one I haven't been to yet.
