Welded up cross bars and rummaged through garage for my 15 year old ski holders... bolted them up to cross bars and now I can lock my fishing poles in.

How has this held up over the years? I've been thinking about doing this too.

It's pretty janky, but secure AF. I re-purposed some tension brackets I got off a failed wheel jack from the jet ski trailer. I bought some big @$$ carriage bolts and a bunch of washers to utilize the already existing rail system (in order to avoid drilling in the bed). Holds pretty well and isn't going to fail unless the entire rail does. I had to put a couple of rubber pieces underneath the fuel cage to help support the load on the rail, as when I torqued the bolts it tended to "lift" the cage. Anyways, enjoy!

No the prettiest, but it works. It ended up being more than I wanted to spend on the project, but that's because I didn't lay out any blueprints and went through a lot of trial and error, trips back/forth to hardware store, and kept a lot of receipts!

And don't want to buy that expensive tool box for your bed? 'fraid it will take up too much bed space? Look no further! You and your tonneau can enjoy the luxery of a removable tool box for the low price of 1 bungee cord and a husky tool box.

1027181415.jpg Ok, three mods today with only $40 cash, a six pack of kilt lifter and two millers! My buddy and I made short work of replacing the CV axle. So while we finished our second beer I painted the front Toyota emblem flat black while we were admiring our work. Then we removed the charcoal filter, when I remembered seeing a set of 4 steel rims for $40 on Craigslist. He has a sand blaster in his garage so next weekend we'll blast them and paint them gloss black.

Firestone air bags, some lights, heated seats, RTT.
image.jpg image.jpg I will contribute one: two projector bags destined for the trash. I hang them over the rear headrests and fill them with various goodies that I need when camping or hiking like bear spray and binoculars. When I get home it is easy to grab the two bags with all my valuable gear. Cheers

Remove the plastic cover by splitting it open to access the bundle of wires. There is one wire that has 12volts with key on. Mine is the black wire and I just use a wire tap connector to it to power the rear camera. Sorry but I taped it up but you can see the red camera power wire going to it.20181223_083602.jpg
