What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Haven't done much with my 3rd Gen lately.....other than enjoying driving it daily.

Super truck for me.

This afternoon it's getting used as a place to hold my grilling gear and also a convenient spot to plop down and sit a few minutes and enjoy some outdoor tunes, grill smoke and a cold one.

 

These do work great as I bought 2...driver and passenger sides.

 

well the clearance issues i had are fixed.

and the exhaust flows better. I'm planning to reflash my OV file to put it back in ecu learning... it may change the throttle response some, not yet sure. but the throttle response is better.

all good, but the only minor issue to come up is the exhaust note above 3k... not working for me at all. the low rumble from the TRD exhaust is gone after removing the cats, and what's left is the typical v6 buzz. pretty awful if you ask me. it doesn't drone and it's not loud, but the buzz is there. I'll be doing a new muffler of some kind soon, whatever it takes.

 

DOHH!

 

I justed installed the URD mk2 y-pipe to my existing BORLA cat-back and any rpm range beyond 3000 upon accelerating hard can get on my nerves some times. I don’t feel like it’s drone’ish just much louder.

Put on some

AVS vent shades and painted the exhaust tip...


...with invisible paint.

 

Had the truck detailed inside and out plus waxed [

 

yeah, see above..
mk2 y-pipe + TRD muffler. in my case not louder, and no drone, just some v6 buzz above 3k. performance is good but sound is not.

 

Thanks; the Relentless attaches to the rail with 2 nuts instead of one. How stable is yours with one nut?

 

MBRP aluminized 200 Dollar Cat Back Exhaust. I'm sure if you you installed the insert you'd be really happy.

 

Can you provide a source for that paint?
I have a neighbor that I'd like to try it out on.

 

Installed a flashlight bracket.

 

It’s the simple things......

 

The 2 attachment point brackets are rock solid stable in the cab bed rails. The RCI provided backing plates fit snug into the rails.

I like that tailgate. Been looking at black for Mine.hate that the letters are blue like the truck. Very nice

 

Agree. I have one on my motorcycle with a small windshield, if his phone comes out pics or it didn’t happen. I will be surprised

 

Thanks for the follow up! This is what I did today, a K&N intake. Now to test drive to see but initially it seems quieter.
