I have been messing around with Gaia and Google Earth but I’m still having a hard time actually finding any trails. I have looked on all the NPS sites at local spots and found a couple goods ones but I’m looking for any other spots that may not be part of the NPS. Is there any good places to look for off road routes online that I can put into my Gaia maps?

I’m in Florida and have found a few trail systems at some of the National Parks but I’m really just looking for anywhere in the south east that I could also make into a camping trip.

I am out west so I can't offer much info. I would look for a regional sub-forum here on TacomaWorld and find some locals.

Yeah, I have checked around that forum but I was just wondering if there was like a database people uploaded their trail routes to?

If not that seems like a great website to start up.

What you call trails are usually public rights of way that show on most maps (private lands or some public OHV areas excepted). In the western US, those are mostly in National Forest or BLM land, with the exception of a few large National Parks like Death Valley or Canyonlands, and Big Bend. Those agencies often provide good maps, some even have specific motor vehicle use maps. So it really depends on where you are ... I don’t know what’s in Florida. Once I get the lay of the land, I find lots of info on Internet forums. Even the much criticized 3rd gen Entune navigation has shown almost every trail I’ve been on, if I zoom in enough. There have been attempts at apps with 4wd maps, but the best trail map apps I know are for mountain biking.
