I’m planning on getting the URD fuel pump and was wonder how much line I should order the eBay link Sandman posted come in 11” should that be enough? Or should I order the line from Summit Racing? Or 280mm from Racetronix like OP posted?
    Thanks!
    Sorry for revival BTW lol!

You need a submersible multi-fuel rated hose, whichever you purchase. The Racetronix is a lot cheaper than a multi layered hose. Also why this thread was started. Still a good choice.

Since this thread was dug back up, I'll just note that my pump is still working great!

Does anyone have any pictures of the fuel filter setup from URD or if they have modded/upgraded that kit at all? I put together my own fuel pump setup and need to work on the fuel filter. What size is the stock line?

Has anyone done a video on the fuel pump installation? I'd like to watch before starting my replacement, just in case there are any special tools or caveats I should know. Thanks!

Make sure you have something like this to disassemble, and reassemble the threaded nut that holds the pump filter into the tank. I didn't measure the diameter, but it is at least 8"....so, you need a minimum of 13" usable rubber strap. I didn't have one that large, so, I used 2 in conjunction to loosen, and then re-tighten the "nut". Other than that, it was super easy. I used the rubber hose that URD sends with the kit, but would much prefer the hard plastic hose mentioned early in the post. I have the band clamp on order as well, because I don't like zip ties for the long term to hold the fuel filter up. No transmission jack needed, just run your tank down to 1/4 or less and have some blocks or 4x4's to lower down the tank to...incrementally. Super easy swap. Not sure why I was timid.

What happened to my strap wrench pic? Did I violate a forum rule? Just curious, was only trying to help.

I used an oversized strap wrench I found at O'Reilly Auto, but it sucked because the strap isn't rubber so I ended up unscrewing the pump assembly retaining ring by lightly tapping the teeth with a screwdriver and rubber mallet. Came off pretty easy then.

Also used the Racetronix tube in this thread from summit racing. It's about 8" long which ended up being the perfect length.

    My shit is all stock.
Ok, I bought the stuff to do this upgrade back in December of 16. The truck was running great with the stock fuel pump. So, I was in no real hurry. The new pump languished up in my garage cabinets until April of this year. At that point I had stumbled across a Tacoma fuel pump module that I could modify and add the fancy new pump to. I posted pics of when I did that earlier in this thread.
The idea was to minimize truck down time by having the new module ready to go. Just swap them out.

This past Thursday night I finally dropped the tank, swapped modules and had it back in and running in about an hour. Having the pump module ready to go worked out perfectly.

Anyway... What I'm getting at is that I've got this pump module that I removed from my truck sitting here. It's in perfect shape. You'll just need to transfer your fuel sender. I'd poached that off of it for @GT7 when he was trying to fix an issue with his. PM me if you're interested.

    Update: Module is gone.
