I have a Mac - same mac for 10yrs (correct, Macs are seldom attacked). But yes, I bought this little notebook tablet to do my Tune and worked just fine, it has one USB and that is all you need. If want more USBs (like to use a mouse) just get a USB splitter for another 5 bucks. Good luck, it is a bit confusing to do all the downloads flashing and emails (for novus computer folks like me), but just read directions over and over and you will get it. Here is the notebook on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077WTB2LY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Loaded 04B04 with the 1.04R update and to be honost not a fan of the changes especially the shift points in the low gears. I'm sure 1.05 will fix this.

Going to 04B04 is a one way street right now, that's the reason I am holding off on getting the TSB. If you don't like 04B04 and 1.04R, there is no way to go back to 1.04 or 1.03.

If I understand correctly, for those on 04B03, if we don't like 1.05, downgrade to 1.03 is possible, since it does NOT update ECU to 04B04.

I have not heard Mat commit to releasing 1.03 on 04B04.

So are you in the street testing phase with 1.05 already?

Will there be dyno development with this version?

It's remarkably easy to interact with forums on a phone...majority of my posts are from my phone even though I have a laptop.

Tether your phone to a cheap laptop and download the tune. It will probably use less data than watching a 5 minute YouTube video.

Just sent off my vehicle info to Mat. One thing I noticed: my ECU is 04A60. Haven't seen that one in any posts...is that because it's an '18? Just curious.

I am now of the tuned population; thanks @OVTune for the quick turn around on the files! This is how the truck is supposed to feel. This being my first AT in 26 years (only ever owned MTs), the shift points now feel right. Listening to the engine...just when I think it should shift...boom, it shifts. It is so damn satisfying now. The power is there too.

I was a bit shocked during the flash process when all the error messages flashed up on the dashboard though!

Overall, well worth the price, even if no more flashes were in the works.

PCs are typically better for developers and programmers, where designers and creatives usually prefer MACs due to key commands and how MAC caters to those users in the device experience

I beg to differ on the developers and programmers part. As a developer myself, I and my co-workers prefer Macs. The tool sets, repositories, and other development utilities are so cross platform these days that it’s really just a personal preference. Unless you are doing .NET development of course.

Spot on though in that Macs excel at design-type development.

Interesting. Seems my dev team is old school

Or just prefers Windows. Some shops dictate the platform. My company used to be all Windows. Macs started working their way in and it then just became a choice.
