Probably. I couldn't find any except for at the dealer but there was no way I was going to get one there. No shops would work on it that weekend either because of the holiday.

I didn’t want to seem like an overachiever so I got one project out of thirty done and have been taking naps ever since to build up my stamina.

Haha. Ive got dual battery to finish up and the rewiring the accessories this weekend. should be about 6-8 hours. I did my 30k maintenance and then a trans flush planned for 50k. taking all the rust and crap off my sliders and repainting them and then a few little miscellaneous things.

I think differently than you on the sliders. I’d wait till after the trip and then do all the clean up so you don’t have fresh open gouges on the bottoms entering winter.

If everything goes right we’ll arrive Wednesday evening and spend the night in the overflow area and then leave the Taco and trailer at the gate to be first in line.

Protip on the camping. The plain dirt looking strip section, I think that's a mud drag track in the spring and early summer and I'd advise to not set up in it or to the right of it if its threatening rain. You'll find that sites around the left hand side fill up fast because of that. Our site isn't convenient to port potty access but because we are a decent sized group it allows us to not be directly on top of each other. We try to park across the gravel road - left side - to save the right for tents, camper trailers, and RTT folks. A few of us bring port toilets so I'm sure your lady can can find a potty partner to share with.

The bypass access to the trails that I noted isn't necessary as it used to be an access track for dirt bikes, atvs, and cancer cars, AKA: side by sides. Now that Tennessee has made it legal to operate on roads most just go back down the main entrance and turn right to get the the trail entrance and general store with fuel pumps. I use it often because, I can drive on asphalt roads at home. Your mileage may vary.

Hey guys, first year at atr. I've got the basics covered, spare tire, recovery gear, tools, fire extinguisher, etc. Is there anything I need to pack that I might be forgetting? Anthother question is in the camp ground area is there a shower house or is there somewhere off site for that?

    Jared

Edit ... If anyone has a tailgate or even a complete bed that is clean and will be attending I'm in the market!

    Hey Jered!
This will be my first year too but will be coming down with @G.T. who is a veteran of ATR. I've been told they have a shower house there. You can go crazy with what you want to bring down but spare parts are always a plus to have. Unless your plan is to stay on the mild trails. Then I would add tire repair kit, some way to air up your tires and first aid kit.

What bed parts are you looking for? I think we have some complete beds in our group that are for sale. They wouldn't be going down unless needed.

So both beds are cut for HC bumpers. I'm checking on the tailgates too. Would you be interested in a tailgate reinforcement plate?
