Guys/Gals, just a little idea on how to secure your Ammo Cans, I have 1 of these bolted to front corners of my bed rails, and 2 on my ladder rack, the lock is a

less than $10. just drill the appropriate hole, ( I cannot remember size bit ) and Wal Laaa.

I searched ammo cans and didn't see any previous post, so just a quick DiY'er if your interested. Only problem is don't over fill your can you have to push the stud slightly back to have enough room to raise the latch and clear the Stud, but it's adjustable see Pic 2.

    Not a bad idea.

You can accomplish the same thing with a bolt that has a hole drilled through the shank that will accept a padlock.

    OR

You can cut a slot in the ammo can latch and rivet a "U" shaped shackle (like the ones used with a hasp) to the ammo can and a padlock.
