I dont run stihl weed eaters. Hate them. Just a personal preference.

When you mow as much as I do, nice/powerful weed eaters are a must.

I have 8 acres of lawn. 3 to 3-1/2 hours of trimming each time it gets cut.

Owned a commercial mowing business for 17 years.

Current Stihl was used there, then on my yard. 21 years old and still going strong. I don't have a post about it self destructing.

Either Stihl or Jonesred, or nothing else.

Only like $60 at your local Walmart. I know that high but you pay for the quality

Dont you have kids to pull the weeds? If not go down to lowes in murfreesboro, ask for Hernandez... he will hook you up with a very hard working kid for like 5 bucks. If you tell him I sent you we get each get a coupon for our next purchase on 2 or more! Really a hell of a guy and runs a class a business. Not very big on returns through for some reason...

I made fun of the Dewalt 60V weed trimmer till I got one. However, for commercial you'd have to have $1000 in batteries. One battery lasts about 1.5 hours of solid work, but at $150 / battery, that's not gonna make it through an entire day of lawn mowing.

My father in law does lawns, but only a few a day. It's been great for him, he can charge while he's mowing and then he's good to go.

It's crazy what they're running on batteries. I noticed they make a leaf blower for my Milwaukee fuel stuff. haha

For me an impact, leaf blow, the Dewalt fan, and a 12" bar chainsaw is GREAT for camping and one battery system does it all, with no fuel to fool with.

Speaking of... Does anyone want an older DeWalt 12v drill? The batteries are shot. Yours for a cold & frosty at the next meet.

I run a bunch of 18v Ryobi stuff, the weed eater will do all the clean up on my half acre on one battery, I've never had enough hedges to run the battery out on the hedge trimmer, leaf blower is the only one that really kills the battery but still lasts about 20min or so, and the chainsaws will run for about 45min.
I have at least a dozen tools I run off of these batteries and think it's the best thing ever.

Red Max. I did start with an old Shindawa though circa 2005. It was a good machine, but damn it was heavy.
