I think he just missed the hole to stick the hammock pole in at the front of the Flippac before folding it up. Zooming in on the picture make it look like the receiver/holder for the pole is still there in the correct spot, but I'll let him confirm.

The hinges are black because FRP was not consistent with their manufacturing and decided to coat them.

I sold Mark this Flippac back in January. It was in mint condition when I sold it - no mold on the tent, no tears, no dents. The minor surface rust on the latches was there when I bought it last year. I think FRP kept changing their parts and these painted ones seem to rust a tiny bit - ONLY on the part where it moves - not where it makes any connection with the fiberglass or anything. I was paranoid about this and inspected everything when I got it and confirmed that it is purely exterior and superficial.

The torsion bar is less than a year old and is a Sway-A-Way. An aluminum tube was placed over it and drilled about a half-dozen times to drain, which is why in the photos it looks chromed silver and not red or grey or white powdercoated (it is).

Here is the photoset from when I sold it back in January - much higher resolution photos and on my 1st gen:

I bought this for the long time girlfriend and our kid. We recently went our separate ways.
I loved the flip pac and I bought it so I could get the family out with me more.
Too much information but I am not selling it for any other reason.
We’ve had many nights in here And it has always done us right at keeping us comfortable and entertaining the kid. I simply don’t want it now. I’m used to sleeping in a hammock lol

If it doesn’t sell and I come around to wanting to use it again than so be it.

I think Jason lee basically covered everyone’s invective asked.

Everything works. I’ve never had an issue.

Hurry up and buy it! If she decides to take me back we will be camping again lol

And yes I did miss the hole for the hammock pole.
I was just being lazy after I noticed knowing I was going to open it the next few days at cars and coffee.

(I archive everything). I looked back at the photos from the ExPo post and you're correct. The guy I got it from must have coated them when he replaced the torsion bar with the Sway-A-Way version.

It is, I’m just broke! And a GFC is the same price. GLWS though, I wish I had the extra spending cash :)

I saw yours a long time ago and loved it....I just can’t afford it ): I love the Flippac’s, but the GFC seems to be superior as the company is just beginning business.

One thing I dont like about the GFC is sleeping width...49” is tiny compared to a Flippac.
