Funny, that's the same fiasco I'm facing. The things we do for those little details.

Hey guys, just purchased a 15 Tacoma trd pro is super white! Love it! I tow a waverunner and would like to know what to do about the rear squatting so drastically. Shocks are not blown out? Still love this truck though. Double cab automatic with 59k miles! 63505EC6-19D9-4540-9374-BC53581C7CDD.jpg B32222BA-99EA-426C-B0D4-6B72A478F3CD.jpg 8DFE3F4F-24F2-4DFB-9E80-551499C37DFF.jpg

Icon progressive AAL. Or a progressive AAL from Wheelers. Nice truck by the way!

    Congrats, beautiful truck!

    +1 on adding a 3-leaf add-a-leaf pack.

Thanks guys. Would that replace the full leaf springs I currently have? Also I heard about adding a spring to the current ones? How does that work? Thanks and sorry for all the questions

No, they're not replacements. You add them to your existing leaf pack. You basically unbolt your leaf springs, add the AAL under the existing and bolt back up. Watch some youtube videos or look for a how-to. It's not quite a simple as I described, but it should give you an idea of how they work.

You can buy a single leaf (AAL) or a 3 leaf progressive AAL. Also, some people leave their overload leaf in, and some remove it. Really depends on what your needs are.

I went with a 3 leaf progressive from Headstrong Offroad and left my overload in. Rides smooth as butter.

Nope , that’s what the sites for man. Ask away!! There is an add a leaf. Which is just that, one leaf.....that’s not what you want. There is what I had suggested from Icon or wheelers (progressive aal) That’s a mini 3 leaf pack that you add to your current leaf springs. The last option would be a whole new beefier leaf spring pack from Dakar. Those are nice, sure you can go that route but may be over kill.
I think you’d be just fine with the progressive aal.

    AAL.

Juanito is right on. Either AAL will be fine. They’re literally the same thing, so don’t over think it based on brand.

I put on a progressive HD 3 AAL and like it a lot.

Also, I have to replace one of my rear shocks as mentioned in a previous post. Being in Canada they can't order me a new one as the Baja was never an option here.

Which means I need to buy two new shocks.

What shocks would you guys recommend? Want upgrade over stock non Baja but don't have to be reservoir.

    Thanks,

    Jay

What's the next level above those?

Guessing it's probably the Baja equivalent in the 5160.

Thanks, I just ordered some 5100!

Last question. When I had my Baja suspension installed (back in 2013) I now have the 1' drivers side lean. 9' on passenger side and 8' on drivers side when I measure from top of tires on back fenders.

Can someone give me a link to the specific (front?) spacer I'd need to install to fix this?

    Thanks a lot!

A spacer is not needed on the Baja suspension. They are left/right specific. Is it possible they were installed improperly? Take a look at the snap rings and see if the drivers side is on the upper setting. Its been a while, so I'm going off of memory.

I think you are right. Both my fronts look to be on the lower ring where the drivers should be on the second (higher) one. I found this picture of what they should look like.

So that being said, how hard is it to fix this assuming they are actually on the correct sides and don't need to be switched?

Uninstall and disassemble and move snap ring up one then re-install. Probably need an alignment after as well...

$46k is ridiculous in my opinion. I paid, more than $10k less than that for my brand new 2013 Baja. Inflation has been very low for the past 5 years, and 3rd gens are not some giant leap of improvement ahead of 2nd gens. Some things are better, some are worse, and many of the parts are interchangeable. They charge it because they can, not because it's worth it. Lot's of better rides are available for that kind of money...
